EFCC Forfeiture Order Reveals 57 Properties Tied to Ex-AGF Abubakar Malami

EFCC Forfeiture Order Reveals 57 Properties Tied to Ex-AGF Abubakar Malami — 1 of 4
1 / 4

Abubakar Malami, SAN, served as Attorney-General from 2015 to 2023. He is now on trial for alleged money laundering and unlawful acquisition of assets. An EFCC interim forfeiture order lists 57 properties he or his associates hold. They range from luxury duplexes in Maitama, Abuja, to hotels, schools, factories and agricultural sites across Kebbi and Kano, with values in the billions of naira. How can Nigeria, especially the North, move forward when those in power enrich themselves with public funds? I pray God punishes such wickedness and selfishness. There is enough in the world for needs but not for greed.
