NDLEA Seizes 748kg of Tramadol, Arrests Two Suspects in Edo

The Edo State command of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency intercepted 95 cartons of controlled substances on the Benin–Lagos Expressway. The haul weighed 748.02kg and included tramadol, Rohypnol, diazepam injections, and bromazepam. The operation was part of a nationwide crackdown ordered by the NDLEA chairman. Two men, aged 43 and 44, were arrested after agents flagged down a Mercedes truck carrying the drugs from Lagos to Onitsha. The agency warned of the growing opioid threat and urged public cooperation in reporting drug trafficking.
