Governor Francis Nwifuru has assured the 1,160 NYSC corps members posted to Ebonyi State of their safety and an enabling environment to serve. At the swearing-in of the 2026 Batch B, Stream 1 corps members, he emphasised that peace and security remain a top priority. He noted investments in security infrastructure and community partnerships have kept Ebonyi off travel advisories for high-risk areas. The NYSC Coordinator in Ebonyi welcomed the new corps members and urged them to embrace camp activities, discipline and personal growth during orientation. She described this as the start of a defining chapter in their lives. One corps member, Patrick Jacobs, expressed gratitude for a safe journey and pledged to contribute positively to the state’s development.
