Oluwo of Iwo Predicts Push for Tinubu’s Third Term

Oluwo of Iwo Predicts Push for Tinubu’s Third Term

On his 74th birthday, Oba Abdulrosheed Akanbi of Iwo praised President Bola Tinubu’s leadership. He told reporters that many Nigerians may call for a constitutional review to extend Tinubu’s stay in office beyond two terms. The monarch credited the President’s tough stance against illegalities for boosting economic growth. He noted key reforms such as exchange rate unification and increased oil output. Oba Akanbi highlighted a jump in foreign reserves from about $1 billion to nearly $50 billion. He added that local government autonomy and higher state allocations have empowered grassroots governance. He also commended major road projects and improved palliative distribution. He said these efforts demonstrate uncommon leadership and set the stage for stability.
