Onuachu and Nwakaeme Shine as Trabzonspor Win on Penalties to Reach Turkish Cup Semi-finals

Onuachu and Nwakaeme Shine as Trabzonspor Win on Penalties to Reach Turkish Cup Semi-finals

Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu starred as Trabzonspor held Samsunspor to a 0-0 draw, then won 3-1 in the penalty shootout to book a spot in the Turkish Cup semi-finals. Anthony Nwakaeme came off the bench in the second half. Both Nigerians converted their kicks to help their club advance to the last four. Trabzonspor will face Gençlerbirliği in May, while Wilfred Ndidi’s Besiktas take on Konyaspor in the other semi-final. The Istanbul side last won the cup in 2020, aiming to claim a ninth title.
