Oshiomhole: Amaechi Boycotted 2015 Election, Didn’t Vote for Buhari Because of Wike

Comrade Adams Oshiomhole says Rotimi Amaechi never cast his vote for Muhammadu Buhari in 2015. In a recent podcast interview, he claimed Amaechi was overwhelmed by Nyesom Wike’s influence in Rivers State. According to Oshiomhole, Amaechi, who served as Buhari’s campaign Director-General, instructed his supporters in Rivers to boycott the polls. He argues this contradicts Amaechi’s later claim that he “made” Buhari president. Amaechi had earlier told a national TV station that it was his effort, rather than Bola Tinubu’s, that secured Buhari’s victory in 2015.

Do you think Wike's influence alone could have stopped Amaechi from voting for Buhari back in 2015?

How would Wike's influence alone override Amaechi's personal political interests in that 2015 vote?

It's interesting that a former campaign director might skip voting due to another politician's sway in his own state.

I get curious too, but saying Amaechi missed voting just because of Wike seems like jumping to conclusions.

Oshiomhole's claim seems more like a strategic move to discredit Amaechi rather than an accurate account of events.

Next time party stalwarts clash publicly, voters should verify sources before accepting such dramatic allegations.
