Two Teenagers Banned from UK Hotels After Causing £4,000 Damage
Two 19-year-olds have been barred from all pubs, bars, nightclubs and hotels across the UK after a destructive incident at the Trouville Hotel in Bournemouth. They entered the hotel in April with a friend and, when asked to leave, threatened staff, spat at a receptionist and threw vases, a computer screen and a fire extinguisher. Repairs and guest refunds cost around £4,000, and the hotel’s reputation suffered. District Judge Orla Austin called their behaviour disgraceful. She imposed 12-week prison sentences suspended for 12 months, ordered £350 fines each, and banned them from hospitality venues for six months, except when needed for work. The court heard the pair had previous run-ins with club staff and unpaid taxi fares. Their co-defendant, Jasmine Orchard, received a 12-month conditional discharge and was ordered to pay costs.
