Are Privileged Kids Aware of Their Own Luck?
I’ve been wondering whether children born into wealth truly appreciate their privilege. Imagine growing up with a guaranteed salary before adulthood and spontaneous trips abroad—no effort required. Think of well-known families like the Otedolas, Adenugas, Akelekes and many others. Do those kids see their lifestyle as something extraordinary, or do they simply accept it as normal? My friend has never held a job, yet he drew a steady paycheck from his father’s companies since he was a teenager. He can be here one day and jet off overseas the next. Are people like him truly self-aware of their fortune?
