RSUTH Chief Medical Director Appointed South-South Coordinator on National Cancer Control Team
Professor Chizindu Alikor, Chief Medical Director of Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, has joined the reconstituted National Cancer Control Technical Working Group. He was named South-South Geopolitical Zone Liaison Coordinator, charged with coordinating cancer control efforts across the region. The Honourable Minister of State for Health and Social Welfare confirmed the appointment, highlighting Professor Alikor’s experience in clinical care, research, and policy development for cancer control in Nigeria. His new role is expected to strengthen regional coordination and drive initiatives to improve cancer outcomes nationwide.
