A Mass Communication student from LASU, Fajana Olamide Mary, emerged champion of the 2026 LASEPA Inter-Tertiary Environmental Debate. She secured the N2 million cash prize with arguments on “Combating Trans-Boundary Pollution in Lagos State.” The competition finale took place at Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Ikeja, as part of LASEPA’s 2026 Inter-Tertiary Environmental Summit. Six finalists from various institutions debated city-level and national strategies to curb pollution. After her win, Fajana called for stronger collaboration between LASEPA and the Lagos State Waste Management Authority. She said joint efforts would help build a cleaner, healthier environment for residents. Engr. Olakunle Rotimi, Special Adviser on Environment to the Lagos State Governor, applauded the programme.
