Awka South NDC Returning Officer Threatens Lawsuit Over Forged Primary Results
The Returning Officer for the NDC primaries in Awka South LGA has dismissed any unsigned or fake result for the Constituency II House of Assembly primary. He insists only the document he officially signed is valid. Engr. Prof. Paul Okolie confirmed that Evangelist Chinedu Raymond Obue won the primary with 625 votes against Sam Chuks Okpanduka’s 73. He noted the exercise was conducted freely and transparently at Umuzocha Hall with an INEC observer present. He warned that anyone forging his signature or circulating fraudulent results will face legal action. He urged the national party leadership to uphold the authentic outcome and protect the integrity of the delegates’ choice. Failure to recognize the genuine result, he cautioned, could undermine public confidence in the party’s commitment to justice and transparency.
