The National Sports Commission has pledged its full support to Team Nigeria as the African Senior Athletics Championships kick off in Accra today. A 41-member squad, featuring 17 men and 24 women, will compete across 26 track and field events. NSC Director General Bukola Olopade urged athletes to showcase confidence, discipline, and patriotism as they represent the nation. Olopade highlighted the mix of seasoned stars and rising talents, expressing confidence that Nigeria’s athletes will continue shining on the continental stage. Leading the delegation is world record holder Tobi Amusan, joined by top home-based and foreign-based competitors ready to take on Africa.
