1 / 3

Manchester City are ready to field offers for up to eight first-team players this summer as Pep Guardiola bows out and Enzo Maresca prepares to take charge. According to reports, the club could sell key names including Nico González, Rico Lewis, Tijjani Reijnders and Mateo Kovacic. Omar Marmoush, James Trafford and Nathan Aké are also on the list, while Brazilian winger Savinho is in advanced talks with Tottenham. Josko Gvardiol faces a decision over a new City contract amid interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona. Ruben Dias has been linked with Real Madrid following news of José Mourinho’s arrival at the Bernabéu. City are finalising a compensation deal with Chelsea as they close in on Maresca’s appointment. The new boss will also accelerate a bid for Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliott Anderson to replace Bernardo Silva.

Which criteria matter most to you when judging surprise—longevity at City, on-field impact, or transfer fee?

Some of those names like Rico Lewis and Nico González are still young prospects rather than established first-team regulars.

I'm not convinced City has an eight-man clear-out lined up; they typically hold onto talent instead of trimming squad numbers drastically.

Perhaps City should prioritize loan deals for players needing experience and target sales of fringe options while keeping key names for Maresca's rebuild.
