How Nigerian States Can Generate ₦15bn Monthly with ₦100 Per Person Daily
I believe every Nigerian state can raise massive revenue with a simple, fair tax drive. If just ₦100 per person is collected across a population of five million, that yields ₦500m a day—or ₦15bn a month—without burdening most citizens. With enforced minimum wages and proper personal income tax collection, at least 500,000 workers would contribute regularly. Local governments could boost this further with levies on adverts, market produce, and other local fees. The federal government has set a good example by aligning VAT and company income tax with population, but states and councils must step up too. Any business unable to pay a living wage shouldn’t operate here. Every governor and local chairman holds the key to economic growth. Using constitutionally allowed taxes won’t break the people—it will fund schools, health services, roads, and jobs.
