Kano State Launches Free Daily Shuttle Service for Hajj Pilgrims in Makkah
Kano State Government now runs free daily buses for its 2026 Hajj pilgrims in Makkah. The service began after the Day of Arafat and connects pilgrims’ lodgings directly to Masjid Al-Haram. Eight air-conditioned buses, each seating over 50 passengers, have been assigned to various pilgrim accommodations. The initiative aims to ease travel for all pilgrims, especially the elderly, so they can focus on prayers without transport worries. The Emir of Gaya and the Amirul Hajj officially launched the scheme during a brief ceremony. Hajj officials are also organising luggage for the return journey and reminding pilgrims to comply with the two-bag, 23 kg limit per bag.
