Police, JAMB Nab Three in Delta for High-Tech UTME Exam Fraud

Police, JAMB Nab Three in Delta for High-Tech UTME Exam Fraud

Police operatives, working with the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, have arrested three suspects for orchestrating a sophisticated technology-assisted malpractice during the 2026 UTME at the College of Education, Warri, Delta State. Preliminary investigations reveal the syndicate used unauthorized remote access to manipulate candidates’ computer systems. Officers acted on digital forensic leads to carry out coordinated operations and detain the three individuals now assisting further inquiries. Authorities say additional centres may be under probe. JAMB has withdrawn results from affected locations and will reschedule affected candidates for a mop-up examination. The Nigeria Police Force warns all examination centre operators and candidates against cyber-assisted fraud. It vows to dismantle any networks threatening the integrity of the nation’s education system.
