AAUASU President Appoints 40 Aides, Students Voice Opinions

The new Students’ Union president at Adekunle Ajasin University, Folagbade Greatness Ayoola, has named around 40 aides and special advisers shortly after taking office. A memo from the union leadership lists key roles such as Chief of Staff, personal assistants, directors and advisers covering media, health, ICT, security, academics, transport, sports, budgeting and social media. The extensive appointments have sparked debate among students on campus and online, with many sharing their views on the size and scope of the new team.

Listing so many special advisers could slow down decision making rather than streamline union activities, given the inevitable overlaps in roles.
