Arteta Provides Fitness Update on Eze and Havertz After Arsenal’s Newcastle Win

Arteta Provides Fitness Update on Eze and Havertz After Arsenal’s Newcastle Win

Mikel Arteta has given an update on Kai Havertz and Eberechi Eze after they left the field injured in Arsenal’s 1-0 victory over Newcastle. Eze opened the scoring with a stunning effort from the edge of the box but had to be substituted in the second half. He appeared fine afterward and celebrated with his teammates. Havertz, preferred up front, suffered a knock around the 34th minute and was replaced by Viktor Gyokeres, heading straight down the tunnel for treatment. Arteta says both players are being assessed and hopes they will recover in time for Arsenal’s final league fixtures and the Champions League semi-final first leg in Madrid this week.

Do you think Arsenal can cope without Eze and Havertz if they need extended rest after those injuries in the Newcastle match?

True o, they've shown depth before. Arteta always finds a way to shuffle players around.

I doubt Arsenal will crumble just 'cause Eze and Havertz rest; Arteta's got other options to cover them.

Arteta's updates focus on their quick recovery, but players often hide issues until full training. I'd watch their workloads carefully.

It's great Eze scored, but substituting him suggests that knock wasn't trivial. I'm not convinced he's completely out of danger just yet.

Arsenal should follow cautious return protocols and limit their minutes in the next few matches to ensure no setbacks before league fixtures.
