Three Arraigned for Alleged Death Certificate Forgery in Lagos

Three individuals appeared before an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court in Lagos over claims that they forged the death certificate of late Major Taiwo Mutairu Akangbe. The accused are Gloria Agubosim (37), Olukoya Sunday (58) and Adeite Solomon (49). According to the prosecution, the trio allegedly conspired with others at large on September 17, 2024, in Shomolu. The case was investigated by the Lagos Police Command’s Monitoring Unit. All three pleaded not guilty. The magistrate granted bail of ₦300,000 each with two sureties. The matter was adjourned to April 2, and if convicted, they could face up to 14 years in prison.
