PDP Appoints Interim Committee to Steer Party Affairs After Court Ruling

On May 4, 2026, the 103rd National Executive Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party appointed an Interim National Working Committee to oversee party affairs following a Supreme Court judgment. The two-thirds majority vote saw Kabiru Tanimu Turaki, SAN, named chairman. Arapaja Taofeek Gbola-Oladejo was chosen as secretary alongside eleven other members tasked with executive operations. This leadership team will manage the party’s day-to-day activities and ensure constitutional compliance until a new National Working Committee is established.
