Matawalle Urges Nigerians to Pray for Peace and Leaders at Army Day Jumu’ah Service
The Minister of State for Defence called on all Nigerians to pray for the nation and its leaders as both a civic duty and a religious obligation. Speaking at the special Jumu’ah prayer during the Army Day Celebration at Abuja’s Garrison Central Mosque, he highlighted that true patriotism goes beyond words, requiring collective action to strengthen national security. The Army’s Islamic Affairs director added that when communities partner with security forces, as seen in Maiduguri’s success, they can drive out insurgents and restore peace.
