Anthony Anderson was born in Compton, California in 1970. He studied at Hollywood High and later attended Howard University. His mother worked as an actress and his stepfather owned clothing stores. Over the years, Anthony built a career as a comedian and actor. Early TV roles included guest spots on The Wayans Bros. and In the House. He broke through on the NBC series Hang Time before landing film roles in Liberty Heights, Romeo Must Die and Me, Myself & Irene. He is best known today for starring in and executive-producing the sitcom Black-ish. Anthony has also hosted game and talk shows. His awards include multiple NAACP Image Awards and ensemble honors for The Departed. Away from the screen, Anthony is married with two children. He has spoken publicly about managing Type 2 diabetes. His estimated net worth exceeds $30 million.
