My FSLC Was Rejected in Government Verification – How Do I Unlock My Salary?
I recently started a position with a state ministry but have gone three months without pay because my documents are still under verification. During the exercise I submitted my degree, WAEC, birth certificate, BVN, and First School Leaving Certificate (FSLC). The verification officer said my FSLC was invalid because it was privately printed and not issued by the Ministry of Education. I only sat the Common Entrance exam and was promoted automatically to secondary school, so I never took a formal FSLC exam. I contacted my former school, but they could not offer a solution. I’m worried this will delay my salary indefinitely. Has anyone encountered this? Is there an alternative document or process that can help me complete verification and receive my pay?
