Ikorodu City Rally Past Wikki Tourists 3-1 to Eye Continental Football
Ikorodu City claimed a 3-1 victory over Wikki Tourists at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena, Onikan, Lagos. Salami Farouk fired in the opener inside four minutes, tapping home Alfred Odinaka’s header. Abayomi Ayodeji doubled the hosts’ lead in the 18th minute to mark Ikorodu City’s 100th goal in NPFL history. Just before the break, Joseph Arumala won and converted a penalty, moving atop the scoring charts with 13 goals. Jonathan Mairiga pulled one back for Wikki Tourists in the 65th minute but the win sent Ikorodu City up to third on 58 points. Wikki remain 19th and face an uphill battle to avoid relegation.
