Beat the August 30 Deadline: How to Register, Transfer or Update Your PVC

Get ready for the 2027 elections by securing your Permanent Voter Card (PVC). This card is your ticket to the ballot box and your voice in national and state polls. INEC’s Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) is open for new registrations, transfers and corrections. Whether you just turned 18, moved homes, have a misspelt name or need a replacement for a lost or damaged card, now is the time to act. Key dates to remember: - Second phase of CVR ends 17 April 2026 - Final cut-off for all updates is 30 August 2026 - Presidential and National Assembly elections on 16 January 2027 - Governorship and State Assembly polls on 6 February 2027 Bring a valid ID (National ID, driver’s licence or passport) to your local INEC office. Arrive early to avoid queues. You can also verify your registration status on the official INEC portal before you go.
