Kano Demolition Accident: Worker Rescued Alive from Collapsed Wall

Emergency responders from the Kano State Fire Service raced to Kofar Mata Zango after a distress call around 8:49 a.m. Officials found a 30 by 20 feet residential building under demolition when a fence wall collapsed, trapping one worker. The rescue team quickly dug through the rubble and pulled the man, identified as Sadiq Ahmad, to safety. He was rushed to Murtala Muhammed Specialist Hospital and handed over to his brother for treatment. The fire service has launched an investigation to determine the cause of the collapse. It urged residents, contractors, and workers to observe safety rules during demolition and construction projects.
