Katie Price Hit with Seventh Driving Ban After Ignoring 80mph Speeding Notice

Katie Price Hit with Seventh Driving Ban After Ignoring 80mph Speeding Notice — 1 of 2
1 / 2

Katie Price has been disqualified from driving for the seventh time after failing to respond to police enquiries about a Ford Capri recorded at 80mph on the A64 near Stutton. She faces a six-month ban and must pay more than £1,000 in fines and court costs. Police had asked Price to confirm who was driving the car, but she did not reply. She was then prosecuted under the Single Justice Procedure and found guilty of failing to provide driver details. The original speeding charge was withdrawn by the court. This latest ban adds to a long list of motoring convictions dating back to 2010. Price’s record includes speeding offences, driving while disqualified, drink-driving and driving without insurance or a licence. In 2021, she received a suspended sentence after admitting to driving under the influence following a crash. Beyond her driving issues, Price has faced financial struggles. Her bankruptcy orders from 2019 and 2024 have been discharged, but she remains under a court directive to repay debts until February 2027. She has said that her extensive driving bans make it hard to get car insurance.

What do you think drives someone to ignore multiple speeding notices despite facing repeated driving bans?

I agree. Sometimes a sense of invincibility and habit make people brush off bans and keep speeding.

But have we considered whether it's less about thrill-seeking and more about flaws in communication or legal follow-up?

Seven driving bans plus over £1,000 in fines sounds extreme—has she tried responding earlier, or is this avoidance intentional?

Ignoring police inquiries seven times isn't just bad luck; it shows a surprising disregard for basic legal responsibility.

She could avoid future bans by replying promptly to speeding notices and consulting a solicitor before matters escalate further.
