Sam Sodje Blames NFF for Squandering Iwobi’s ‘Golden Generation’
Former Super Eagles defender Sam Sodje has accused the Nigerian Football Federation of mishandling a talented squad that includes rising stars like Alex Iwobi. Sodje pointed out that despite reaching only second and third place at recent Africa Cup of Nations tournaments and missing three straight World Cups, the players cannot be faulted. He believes the NFF’s administration let down what could have been Nigeria’s best-ever generation. “I don’t blame the players; I blame the organisation,” Sodje said in a recent interview.
