Dayo Amusa Urges Actors to Promote Every Film They Star In

Nollywood actress Dayo Amusa has urged her colleagues in the Actors Guild of Nigeria to take film promotion seriously. She said acting does not end after the final cut, and that actors should actively support the publicity of every project they appear in. In her message, she listed four reasons for the standard: it builds an actor’s brand, helps a film succeed, protects hard work on set, and strengthens Nollywood as an industry. She also encouraged actors to attend premieres, grant interviews, and post about their films during the publicity window.

Do actors really have a responsibility to market every film they appear in, or should promotion mainly stay with producers?
