Pastor Abel Damina Warns Feminists: Don’t Marry If You Can’t Submit

Pastor Abel Damina of Power City International sparked debate after his recent sermon on feminism and marriage. He praised feminism when it fights for equal rights and opportunities for women in politics, the economy, and society. But he warned that women who reject male authority should reconsider marriage. “If you don’t want to submit to a husband, it’s not a sin to be single,” he said. Damina linked marital submission to Christian faith. He argued that true submission to a husband flows naturally from submitting to Christ and suggested that resistance in marriage may reflect a deeper spiritual struggle.
