A multi-storey hostel building reportedly collapsed at the Federal Polytechnic, Oko, in Anambra State on the night of July 27, 2026, while students were said to be inside. Residents nearby said they heard a loud noise before the building came down. Students and other residents rushed to the scene as rescue efforts began. The number of casualties has not been confirmed.
