Former champion Andre Agassi admitted he was stunned when Matteo Arnaldi pulled out of his French Open semi-final. Arnaldi had been due to face fellow Italian Flavio Cobolli for a shot at Alexander Zverev in the final. He withdrew just 20 minutes before stepping on court. The 22-year-old said he woke at 1 a.m. vomiting and couldn’t stop. He admitted it wasn’t what he wanted but felt it was the right call after spending hours on court earlier in the tournament.
