1 / 4

On Wednesday, 6 May 2026, leaders, judiciary members, and community figures gathered at St. Mary’s Anglican Church, Ijebu Imusin, to bid farewell to the late Asiwaju Nanu Ebioye Adetokunbo Osisanya. A distinguished pharmacist and cooperative leader, Osisanya founded Ebun Ola Pharmacy & Stores in 1985 and served as President of the Ogun State Co-operative Federation until 2013. His initiatives in digitizing operations and training youth revived the cooperative movement across the Southwest. A devoted Anglican Christian, husband and father of four, he passed on 8 April 2026 after a brief illness. He is remembered for his service, integrity, and lasting impact on his profession and community.

While everyone praises his leadership, I question if cooperative structures truly improved local livelihoods or just echoed old networks.

Community groups could launch regular health outreach clinics in his honour, building on the foundation he set at Ebun Ola Pharmacy.
