Analyst Imran Wakili Alleges Tinubu and APC Betrayed El-Rufai

Imran Wakili has accused President Bola Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress of abandoning former Kaduna governor Nasir El-Rufai despite his key role in their 2023 victories. Wakili said El-Rufai helped build the alliances that delivered Tinubu’s presidential win and Uba Sani’s election as Kaduna governor. He noted that one leader publicly called El-Rufai a mentor, while another urged him to stay and drive the Renewed Hope agenda. These remarks come as El-Rufai remains in the custody of anti-corruption agencies. Wakili insists history cannot be rewritten and that El-Rufai’s contributions must be recognized.
