Four Arrested in Kebbi Hotel Raids over Alleged Immoral Acts
On April 25, Kebbi State Hisbah officers raided hotels in Birnin Kebbi and Makera town. They arrested two men and two women for alleged immoral activities, including a married mother of four. The agency also rescued two children found in separate incidents and reunited them with their families. A mentally unstable woman missing for three years was located in Zuru and returned home. A 15-year-old Muslim convert was found with a young man, and a mother of orphaned children was accused of exchanging sex for money. Beyond arrests, the board mediated disputes among married couples, a housemaid and her employers, and resolved a debt conflict between a Kebbi indigene and an Abuja resident. Officers warned the public to uphold moral values and said repeat offenders would face strict legal action.
