Ifedore Elders Urge Aspirants to Shift Focus from House to Senate for 2027

Leaders and elders from Ifedore Local Government have advised aspirants for the Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency seat to reconsider and focus on the 2027 senatorial contest instead. An elder highlighted the need for fairness, equity and respect for zoning principles. He explained that Ifedore has held four House terms while Idanre has had only one, and argued that Idanre deserves 16 years of representation before rotating. He recalled that the 2019 campaigns were free of zoning disputes and stressed that Ifedore has never produced a senator. He urged political actors from the area to seize the senatorial opportunity rather than contest the federal constituency seat.
