Busola Oke Hits Back at Critics: “Why Am I Never Good Enough?”

Busola Oke Hits Back at Critics: “Why Am I Never Good Enough?”

In a viral video, singer Busola Oke challenged her critics, asking why nothing she does ever pleases them. She pointed out that fans call her genre outdated and question her age when she tries new styles. “I’m at a loss for what people really want from me,” she said. “No matter what I do, it’s never right.” She pleaded for detractors to just let her be. Despite recent wins—a gifted plot of land and a property ambassadorship—Oke opened up about the struggle to earn a sustainable income from gospel music. She revealed feelings of loneliness, depression and financial strain. She also reignited controversy by accusing colleague Gbenga Adewusi of stripping her earnings after she rejected his advances. Adewusi denies the claims, adding another chapter to the debate.
