Kebbi Police Detain School Guard Over Alleged Defilement of 10-Year-Old Girl

The Kebbi State Police Command has arrested a 36-year-old security guard at an Islamiyya school in Jega for the alleged defilement of a 10-year-old pupil. At a press briefing in Birnin Kebbi on June 17, Commissioner of Police Umar Hadejia said the suspect lured the girl into his room on June 14 and committed the offence. He was paraded alongside other suspects. The case is under investigation and will be prosecuted once inquiries are complete.
