Army Distributes Fertiliser to Bolster Peace and Farming in Sanga
Major General Folusho Oyinlola, GOC 3 Division and Commander of Operation ENDURING PEACE, held a high-level security meeting in Sanga LGA ahead of the rainy season. Represented by Brig-Gen Aliyu Aminu, he outlined practical frameworks to maintain peace as farming activities ramp up. With approval from the Chief of Defence Staff, General Olufemi Oluyede, the Army rolled out a non-kinetic intervention by distributing fertiliser to farmers and local stakeholders. This initiative is a tangible gesture to bridge religious divides and promote shared economic prosperity across the community. The GOC called on traditional rulers to strengthen early warning systems and community codes of conduct to prevent reprisals. Major Mohammed Galadima stressed the need for tolerance as herders and farmers come into closer contact during the rains. The Task Force will combine active patrols with community-building efforts to ensure lasting stability, our correspondent reports.
