Military Arrests 27-Year-Old Suspected Militia Logistician in Plateau

Troops from Sector 3 of Operation Enduring Peace have arrested a 27-year-old suspect in Bassa Local Government Area, Plateau State. He is accused of supplying support services to kidnapping and militia gangs operating in the area. The arrest took place around 7:15 p.m. on May 21. Security forces intercepted him near Dong-Rantya Roundabout while he was returning from Bukuru cattle market, acting on credible intelligence. According to military sources, the suspect specialises in buying and selling stolen items—motorcycles, mobile phones and other goods looted during kidnapping operations and criminal attacks. He remains in custody as investigations continue.
