Agbedi Accuses Wike of Creating ‘Two Presidents’ with PDP Threats

Fred Agbedi has accused FCT minister Nyesom Wike of overstepping by threatening banks and property owners amid the PDP leadership crisis. He described Wike as a “busybody” and questioned his authority to shut down any building used by the Kabiru Turaki–led faction. Agbedi warned that Wike’s ultimatum—vowing to seal accounts for Turaki’s group or demolish their Abuja office—undermines legal process. He argued such threats suggest “parallel centres of authority” and likened it to having “two presidents and two laws” in Nigeria. He urged those unhappy with the Supreme Court ruling to return to court instead of using public office to intimidate citizens.
