Plateau Leaders Commit to Peace as Tinubu Approves ₦2bn Relief for Attack Victims

Plateau Leaders Commit to Peace as Tinubu Approves ₦2bn Relief for Attack Victims

President Bola Tinubu met with a 32-member delegation of Plateau State stakeholders at the State House in Abuja. He urged them to review past security White Papers, propose workable resolutions and embrace tolerance to end recurring crises. The group, led by Governor Caleb Mutfwang and including former governors, traditional rulers, youth and religious leaders, identified indigeneship, ethnicity, religion and farmer-herder clashes as root causes. At the three-hour session, the Minister of Humanitarian Affairs announced ₦2 billion in relief support for victims of the March 29 attack in Angwan Rukuban, Jos. Tinubu called on leaders at every level to champion lasting peace, identify provocateurs and involve enlightened citizens in harmony efforts. Governor Mutfwang and other delegates pledged unity, sincerity and concrete action plans to turn conflict into prosperity across Plateau State.
