ADC Warns Tinubu Against Establishing One-Party Rule in Nigeria

ADC Warns Tinubu Against Establishing One-Party Rule in Nigeria

On Wednesday, the African Democratic Congress held a peaceful OccupyINEC protest in Abuja. Party leaders demanded that President Bola Tinubu respect Nigeria’s multi-party democracy and warned against sliding into a one-party system. Speaking for the ADC, Peter Obi said the administration is eroding democratic governance. He appealed to those in power to protect citizens’ right to choose leaders for the sake of current and future generations. Former Minister of Transportation Rotimi Amaechi also condemned the government for failing to deliver promised infrastructure and for aggravating hunger. He predicted that these shortcomings could cost President Tinubu the 2027 election.
