Court Adjourns COOU Vice Chancellor Dispute Until July 21
Hearing in the suit between Prof. Chike Osegbue and Prof. Kate Omenugha over the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University vice chancellorship has been adjourned to July 21. Counsel for the university said he needed time to serve and file a fresh motion after the University Council awaited a new Pro Chancellor appointment. The claimant’s counsel argued all parties had been served last year and urged the court to proceed as scheduled, or defer at the university’s cost. Justice John Tagama granted the request and fixed the new date. The substantive suit remains pending.
