Oyo State Lifts 16-Hour Curfew in 10 LGAs After Kidnapping Response
The Oyo State Government has ended the curfew imposed on 10 local government areas following a recent kidnapping incident in Oriire LGA. The restriction ran daily from 4 p.m. to 8 a.m. for two days. It covered Oriire, Orelope, Irepo, Saki West, Saki East, Atisbo, Itesiwaju, Iseyin, Olorunsogo and Atiba. On Saturday, the Commissioner for Information and Orientation announced that residents can resume normal activities. He thanked communities for their cooperation during the curfew. The government remains on alert. Security agencies will continue efforts to curb kidnapping and safeguard lives and property across the state.
