Revelation 13’s Saints: The Black Biblical Israelites
We use Scripture to show that the saints in Revelation 13 are the biblical Israelites—a Black nation persecuted by the beasts. We have previously identified the two beasts as the global colonizer and its successive empires. Revelation 13:7 describes a war against the saints. Slavery, colonization, and neocolonization all reflect that oppression. In the Bible, “saint” means “set apart” or “holy people.” Deuteronomy and Psalms repeatedly call Israel God’s chosen, holy nation. Therefore, the saints of Revelation 13 are God’s Covenant people—the Black descendants of Israel. This message calls on Africans and Black people to recognize these prophecies in their own history. It points toward the promise of restoration and justice found in Deuteronomy 30.
