LabRad Diagnostics Launch to Revolutionize Healthcare in Imo State, Says Youth Commissioner
On 26 March 2026, Imo State’s Youth Development Commissioner, Dr. Emeka Mandela Ukaegbu, welcomed the LabRad Diagnostics team to discuss their upcoming initiatives. Business Development Manager Chisom Osigwe announced the opening of a new headquarters opposite the Federal Secretariat in Owerri on 12 April 2026. She highlighted the centre’s cutting-edge 160-slice CT scan—the only privately owned unit of its kind in Nigeria—and a 1.5 Tesla MRI, one of just two in the South East and the only one in Imo State. LabRad Diagnostics now operates three modern branches across Owerri, each offering comprehensive diagnostic services. Dr. Ukaegbu praised this visionary investment and reaffirmed Imo’s reputation as a safe, investor-friendly environment. He added that these facilities will curb medical tourism abroad, improve healthcare access for young people, and encourage support for indigenous institutions.
