Ajadi Strengthens Grassroots Ties with Ibadan Mogajis, Donates to Traditional Institution
Ambassador Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo, the leading PDP governorship aspirant in Oyo State, paid a courtesy visit to the Mogajis of Ibadanland at the historic Mopo Hall. He sought their blessings and support, stressing the crucial role of traditional family heads in the state’s political future. Ajadi traced his roots to Osengere in Egbeda Local Government, highlighting his deep connection to Ibadanland through his ancestral head, Chief Bode Amoo. He expressed humility and respect for the Mogajis as custodians of tradition and community leaders. He pledged that his prospective administration would build on Governor Seyi Makinde’s achievements, focusing on grassroots development, youth empowerment and enhanced collaboration with traditional institutions. As a gesture of goodwill, Ajadi donated funds to support the Mogaji forum’s ongoing building projects. In response, Alhaji Asimiyu Ariyori Adepoju, the Aare Mogaji of Ibadanland, emphasised the strategic influence of Mogajis in governance and stability. Other family heads offered prayers for Ajadi’s success and urged him to honour his commitments if elected in 2027.
