Super Eagles Player Ratings After 2-2 Draw in Warsaw

Super Eagles Player Ratings After 2-2 Draw in Warsaw

Nigeria fought back to earn a 2-2 friendly draw against Poland in Warsaw. Here is a player-by-player assessment of the Super Eagles’ performance. Maduka Okoye kept Nigeria in the game with a couple of fine stops but was at fault for Poland’s second goal. Wilfred Ndidi led the midfield brilliantly, while Terem Moffi continued his scoring run with a goal and tireless pressing up front. Moses Simon’s creativity set up the opener, and Paul Onuachu converted a second-half penalty. Several defenders struggled to find rhythm, and most substitutes had mixed impacts. Zaidu Sanusi and Calvin Bassey each mislaid passes under pressure, while Philip Otele injected pace but still needs to refine his final delivery. Semi Ajayi and Raphael Onyedika offered calm, composed spells after coming on.

It's interesting that Ndidi's midfield control didn't translate into a cleaner defensive record in that friendly match.

Focusing training on defensive transitions and communication could help prevent similar lapses in upcoming friendlies.
