Broadcast Station Owners Disown IBAN’s Boycott Threat Against Minister Wike

Broadcast Station Owners Disown IBAN’s Boycott Threat Against Minister Wike

Some TV and radio station owners have distanced themselves from the IBAN ultimatum to boycott FCT Minister Nyesom Wike’s media engagements. Ambassador Yusufu Mamman of JKD TV and Hamada Radio Networks described IBAN chairman Ahmed Tijjani Ramalan as an impostor with no mandate to speak for broadcasters. He said major players in the industry will not join a boycott after the minister clarified his comments on a live broadcast. Mamman urged the minister to ignore the “ranting” and noted that Wike and his spokesperson already offered explanations for the remarks.
